[talking over each other] david: we actually have a couple here in new york. i got into a cab a week ago. he claimed to be one of the very few. i think you can count them on one hand. he has one filling station in southern manhattan and one in northern manhattan. there is, you will have to build out. you talked about natural gas infrastructure for homes, it is true, it exists. you do not have one for cars and trucks. it will cost billions. >> right. by that ended the year, every 250 miles, not talking about heavy-duty trucks, every 250 miles there will be a truck stop. you mentioned our friends out pilate filled the natural gas truck stops. it is not enough? no, of course not. more will be needed. liz: a lot of these gas stations do not have electricity so they cannot extract the gasoline. >> r
. >> obama took gm and chrysler into bankruptcy and sold chrysler to italians who are going to build jeeps in china. >> political contributor john avalon is joining us from youngstown, ohio. john, i understand that, first of all, there has been some pushback from the auto industry execs over the ad. how is this playing out? >> suzanne, it is fascinating. the auto industry here is a political issue, it is a personal issue, it is a pocketbook issue. it is very much a central focus of the debate. we have spoken to senators on both democrat and republican sides of the aisle, senator rob portman and sherrod brown about this ad. take a listen. >> i say it is the most disingenuous ad i've ever seen. they know better. they know the auto rescue worked. they know that ohio reasons connected directly or indirectly to the auto rescue and they know that governor romney and my opponent's opposition to the auto rescue, they're trying to crowd the issue and it is pretty outrageous. >> it is their game to the extent it is reported in the media and that's all they have said, there is reports this could happ
of millions of dollars in their auto plant. it paid off in toledo where chrysler is adding more than 1,000 new jobs on a second shift. not in china, but right here in ohio. right here in the united states of america. and so one of the things, when you're talking to your friends and neighbors, they're trying to make up their minds the last few days. think about that. think about the issue of trust. think about do you want a president who is going to tell you what he believes and what he thinks for somebody who is going to, you know, who is going to -- well, change the facts. after four years as president, you know me. you may not agree with every decision i've made. you may be frustrated sometimes at the pace of change. but you know what i believe. you know where i stand. you know i tell the truth. you know that i'll fight for you and your families every single day as hard as i know how. you know that. >> good morning, everybody. i'm tom here at msnbc headquarters and we're watching president obama there in hilliard, ohio, greeting fans at a campaign there giving a stump speech and bringing up

and when the president talks about he add aid new line to his speech today -- as recovered while chrysler said they weren't selling jeeps in china. those are jeeps for the chinese market. they are not taking jobs from the u.s. to do that, and so the president is accusing romney of being misleading. the romney campaign, you know, argues the facts are not misrepresentative. the crowd goes nuts when he said that today, and really went wild over it. he is getting a warm reception wherever he goes. these are clearly democratic crowds. >> on his assessment there, it's not a real representation of everybody there. thanks. we'll be getting back to you, and we'll bring this to you live as soon as the event starts. >>> earlier today mitt romney held a campaign rally in another swing state, wisconsin. romney told the crowd he is going to work for day one to get americans back to work. he blamed the president's policies for the state of the economy. he said a president has failed to deliver on the promises he made four years ago, like his promise to reach across the aisle and work with republicans. >
credit for the survival of gm and chrysler. >> i understand governor romney has time in ohio because he was against it in the auto industry and hard to run away from that position when you're on videotape saying the words let detroit go bankrupt. dennis: geometrics or went bankrupt a merge with help in federal financing. governor romney's plan would government providing guarantees for post-bank of the financing. meanwhile in wisconsin governor romney hit his campaign closing argument. >> he is so sure of that he has one big plan for the next four years. he wants to take all the ideas from the first term, the stimulus, the borrowing, obamacare, all the rest and do it all over again. that idea can be boiled down to four words, more of the same. dennis: president obama spends all day in the buckeye state. back to you. cheryl: more breaking news continuing into fox business. fema now arriving in staten island. let's go back to the latest there. cheryl: this is national guard distributing supplies to people who need party, and they set this up about 10 minutes ago. the bunch of people taking
